Greener Students

Enter IEMA’s Student Environmental Enterprise Competition and Win £1000

Working with the support of NUS, IEMA invites students to come up with the next big idea in sustainable membership ID.

  • Find this useful?

As the largest professional environmental body with 15,000 members worldwide it is important for IEMA to provide members with proof of their membership.

Members tell IEMA  that they don’t necessarily need a physical card but they are often asked to prove their membership credentials, either on-site or as part of job applications.

NUS and IEMA are looking for an individual or group (of up to four) of students to work together to create an innovative, sustainable, useful, cost-effective and feasible method of membership identification.

We encourage entrants to explore new technologies, materials and thinking to create a practical and sustainable solution that IEMA can recommend to its members. Think creatively and use everything you know to find the ideal solution.

The winner or winning team of the competition will receive a prize of £1000  and the opportunity to present the project at IEMA’s most senior-level event, Leading the Way, to a select group of environmental leaders.

But don’t delay. The deadline for entries is 5pm on Friday 26th April 2013. The winners will be nominated by a judging panel and will be presented with their prize at the NUS Awards in June.
