Snap It Off

Lights on in daylight at a train station

NUS created Snap it Off in response to concerns from students about how much energy is being wasted through unnecessary lighting. Not just on campus, but everywhere!

We’re asking students and staff on every campus to support energy managers to cut energy wastage across the UK. If you’ve ever seen buildings left with lights glaring all night, or street lamps left on in daylight, you can help us!

Simply take a photo of the eco-crime, send it to us and then check back later to see when the issue has been resolved. We’ll contact the energy manager responsible and get them to fix the problem so no more energy is wasted.

The best photo each month wins an MP3 player so get snapping!!

If your Students’ Union is taking part in Green Impact, you’ll get extra points if you’ve promoted this campaign to your students.
