Student Switch Off

The Student Switch Off is a not-for-profit campaign that encourages students to save energy when living in university halls of residence. As with many offices, schools and hotel rooms, there is generally no financial incentive for students in halls to use energy carefully.

We know many international students have had awful experiences in their dealings with the Home Office and it’s agencies, including the UK Border Agency (UKBA). We want to hear your stories – so we can demonstrate to local MPs the challenges that exist for many international students, and can work to address this.

No to FE fees

From April, adults aged 24 and above studying at Level 3 and Level 4 will have to apply for loans for fees in Further Education. The loans will be repayable when learners earn over £21,000, and will be available for courses beginning in the 2013/14 academic year.
