Recognises outstanding achievement and demonstration of best practice in a higher education students’ union.

Criteria

• Activities must date back no earlier than 1 January 2009. 
• Must be the work of an NUS affiliated union 
• Details of the students’ union vision and how this has been developed and achieved buy-in from relevant stakeholders. 
• Evidence of best practice in planning and objective setting. 
• Evidence of the tangible mechanisms to obtain student feedback and evidence of action of this feedback through performance management processes. 
• Evidence of student participation in union elections and standing for elected office. 
• Evidence of the depth of influence as indicated by numbers of course representatives and involvement in institutional affairs.
• Evidence of students’ union action and quantifiable impact on students.
