Equality and Diversity Award

Recognises achievements and demonstration of best practice in strengthening diversity in students’ unions.

Criteria

• Activities must date back no earlier than 1 January 2009. 
• Must be the work of an NUS affiliated union 
• Examples of best practice and/or policy being utilised within the union. 
• Strengthened equality and diversity within the union’s structures and activities in areas such as staff recruitment, accessible student activities and involvement of under represented groups in student democracy. 
• Evidence of the development of innovative projects and initiatives that have promoted equality and diversity.
