UK government

The government provides official information on student support for further and higher education.

Student Finance England

Contact Student Finance England about applying for higher education support if you’re ordinarily resident in England or you’re from an EU country outside the UK looking to study in England or Northern Ireland. You can also find support for most undergraduates and PGCE students, plus information about postgraduate disabled students' allowances. You can also contact your local authority.

NHS Business Services Authority

The NHS Business Services Authority provides bursaries for NHS-funded healthcare students and social work students in England.

Student Finance Wales

Contact Student Finance Wales about applying for further and higher education support if you’re ordinarily resident in Wales or you’re from an EU country outside the UK looking to study in Wales. You can also find support for most undergraduates and PGCE students, plus information about postgraduate disabled students' allowances. You apply directly to local authorities, so you can also contact these.

Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS)

Education Maintenance Allowances in Scotland (EMA Scotland)

EMA Scotland has information about applying for further education support if you’re ordinarily resident in Scotland.

Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS)

Disability Rights UK

Disability Rights UK is a fairly new charity providing information for disabled students, including links to more resources.

UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA)

UKCISA has advice and information on all international student issues, including funding and immigration.

NUS provides this information in good faith and has taken care to make sure it’s accurate. However, student finance issues can be complicated, and rules change frequently. You should contact the advice centre in your students' union, college or university for support if you’re uncertain or need more help.
