Can I get funding to study for a City & Guilds qualification?

If you live in the UK and want to study in the UK for a City & Guilds qualification or a National Proficiency Tests Council course, you may be able to get a bursary (a grant of money that you don’t need to pay back). Here’s an overview with links to more information.

City & Guilds provides a small number of bursaries each year to help you:

  • pay for your course and/or exam fees
  • cover living costs if you can’t work while you study
  • cover childcare costs or travel expenses.

You must live in the UK and intend to study in the UK to get a bursary.

To apply, you can get an application form online. City & Guilds considers applications in May and October, and you can submit your application up to three months in advance.

For more information, see City & Guilds bursaries.
