Usually your univerity or college will be able to provide you with details of local GP surgeries - some of these might even be specfically for students or located on campus.
It's very easy to register. Just head along to the GP surgery, fill in a form and you will usually be asked to an initial meeting or a 'health check'.
Health checks are usually done by the practice nurse, who will ask you about your personal and family medical history. They will also ensure that any tests or checks you need are up to date, such as checking your blood pressure or arranging cervical screening.
