Welcome to careers in the student movement section. Working with students in their home territory, their Unions, or with one of the national organisation is often demanding and challenging.
But it is great fun and you get to work with the most exciting demographic group there is!
Each students' union is an independent organisation, with many stakeholders’ expectations to meet including their institution, their local communities and most importantly of all – students.
However, all Unions belong to the movement of students, the student family and within the movement there are many people who will have similar and new experiences which they are undoubtedly willing to share to help you find your feet.
NUS and NUS Services are the two national organisations that exist to advise and support Unions and their people. Both have a distinct and different role but work very closely together.

As a member of the Network for Black Professionals, NUS is an employer of choice for talented and enterprising ethnic minority professionals and team members.
A career in the student movement is most rewarding. Here are the latest opportunities.
