The NUS Associate card, that was previously available to non-affiliated students and members of selected professional organisations is no longer in circulation. Instead, everyone is now eligible for an NUS Extra card and can share in all the fantastic money-saving benefits, both online and on the High Street, for just £10!
If you are studying at an NUS-affilated organisation you can apply online now, so select your union name from the drop down list and buy your card now!
If you are a member of a non-NUS affiliated school or college, or study with one of the 19 professional organisations listed below, you can apply using the application forms below.
Sixth Form Students
If you are studying at a sixth form college or school that is not affiliated to NUS, or you cannot find your school name on the drop down list here, download the application form below to apply for your NUS Extra card for 2008/09. Make sure you read the terms and conditions at the bottom of this page and follow the instructions in order to get your card as quickly as possible.

Professional Organisations
If you study through one of the 19 professional organisations listed below, you are also eligible for an NUS Extra card for the first time in 2008/09. Check your organisation is on the list and download the application form below to apply for your card. Make sure you read the terms and conditions at the bottom of this page and follow the instructions in order to get your card as quickly as possible.

Professional Organisation application form
Checklist
Please read over your application and ensure you have included the following. If there are any empty or unclear fields your form will be returned to you:
- You have enclosed a standard passport photo only, paper clipped to the form. Do not staple or glue to the form.
- Your writing is clearly legible and fields are completed in full.
- You are 16 or over and in part or full time education.
- You have signed the form yourself and your school/ college / institution have stamped the form, or you have included a letter confirming you are a student on the institution's letterhead.
- You have enclosed payment of £10 via cheque (made payable to NUS Extra) or postal order or your card payment details are completed in full.
- You have written your name and address on the back of your
passport photo and cheque/postal order.
