Welfare And Student Rights
Being a student parent in the UK can be tough and, with an unfair funding system in place, for some students the struggle can seem never ending.
NUS is conducting research on the experiences of student parents and will use its findings to lobby for a fairer system for all.
We're also working with the Child Poverty Action Group, the National Association of Student Money Advisors and others to oppose the restriction of income support for lone parents, and to highlight the particular problems for lone parent students that this policy creates. But we would also like to hear from you.
If you would like to share your experience of being a student parent fill out our student parent survey. As well as sharing your story, you will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win £50 worth of high street vouchers.
