As part of our Green Impact scheme we are encouraging university staff to pledge to make a few small changes at work and at home to help reduce impacts on the environment.

Green Impact is an EAUC and NUS partnership project which is part of Degrees Cooler, supported by the Greener Living Fund and sponsored by Defra.

Make your pledges by completing the form below. Because Green Impact is part of our Degrees Cooler programme, our pledges cover our four target actions:

  • Saving Energy
  • Travel

Make a green pledge!
Recycle items I currently throw away but could recycle


Use recycled or waste paper for my printer at home


Turn off my lights/computer monitor when I leave a room


Not overfill the kettle before boiling


Wash clothes on shorter/cooler washes, tumble dryer less


Not make domestic flights


Always consider alternatives to flying for work travel


Buy local seasonal produce where possible


Grow my own vegetables, greens or fruit next spring


Buy Fairtrade tea or coffee if buying for work or at home
