Ethical and Environmental principles are core to NUS and NUS Services culture. These values underpin all of our work and have done since the organisations' inception.
NUS Services employs two full time staff to support a committed team of volunteers, named the Ethical & Environmental Committee, to ensure that these values translate into practice.

Carbon Academy
In April 2007 NUS Services was awarded Carbon Trust funding to run an energy efficiency project in students' unions.
The project seeks to reduce the carbon footprint of the students' union movement by 4% over the next three years, reducing our collective emissions by 5,000 tonnes of carbon per year.
