Snap It Off helps highlight to institutions the need for action, and get more students involved in helping their institution Go Green.
Many institutions are making significant progress, and Universities and Colleges are increasingly expected to be proactively identifying new and more innovative ways to become more sustainable.
Snap it Off will help institutions to identify ongoing problems, and provide much valued examples of best practice from across the sector.
Launching last year, Susan Nash, NUS Vice President (Society & Citizenship) said; “This site will allow students to play a crucial role in alerting the institution to ongoing problems, and ensure the student community continues to play a pro active role in helping institutions make the transition to a low carbon future”.
So, with Go Green Week 2011 starting on 7 February, next time you see a light left on get out your phone or camera, log onto Snap it Off, upload your photo, and help your University to take a lead in carbon reduction.
