Wins for students’ unions
Through our work with the charities commission, students’ unions will continue to be, under the law, independent from the university/college at which they’re based.
At least seven students’ unions were saved from university take-overs in 2007 because of this work.
Strong and active unions
As part of our strategy to help build strong and active students’ unions, we have also built a relationship with several organisations to offer further training and legal support.
NUS Awards
In 2008, NUS launched the NUS Awards. We strongly believe in celebrating the successes of our members – be those students’ unions or individual students unions. It is through these grass roots successes that we build successful national campaigns that will change your lives for the better.
