NSS design brief

NSS design brief

Come up with a cool idea and you might just win

We are looking for a strong poster design that reflects the purpose of the National Student Survey, appeals to students and encourages them to actively participate in the survey. This page contains our ‘design brief’ – a short overview of what we’re looking for in a poster.

We’re keeping our design brief short so that you can be as creative as possible – however, you must meet the brief if you want to be entered into the competition.

You should include a strapline that is consistent with the theme of the survey and motivates students to take part. A strapline is a secondary sentence below the NSS logo – think Nike’s ‘just do it’, EA Sports’ ‘it’s in the game’ or NUS’ ‘The national voice of students’.  You may submit up to three different designs and straplines. The strapline should be memorable and consistent with the theme and spirit of student participation in the NSS and the survey’s purpose.

Please note that any text included in your image and strapline will need to be reproduced in both English and Welsh, so please contact us should you need to see a translated version of your strapline/text before the closing date to ensure that it does not affect the utility of the design, particularly if a lot of text is used.

In addition, logos of the NSS stakeholders will be automatically added to the bottom of the poster, once the winning design is selected.
